Lent starts on Ash Wednesday and ends three days before Easter. 

This period of forty days is a time for reflecting, praying, fasting, giving and asking for forgiveness as we prepare to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus on Easter Sunday.  Lent ends during Holy Week.
