The Joy of Christ
The joy of Christ be in our rising, his grace be in our dying, his warmth in our hello's and his peace
in our good-byeing May Christ be in our thinking, his compassion in our giving; his eyes be in our seeing; his love in all our living!
Our Song of Hope
We
sing to our Lord a new song! We sing in our world a sure hope. Our God loves this world, created all things, renews it through Christ, and reigns by the Spirit: Our God is the world's true hope!
(I didn't
write this text; I modified it. It's from a contemporary expression of faith, "Our Song of Hope.") I've written new music to make the "prologue" singable by an average congregation.
Show Us Your Pathway
Show us your pathway, O Lord, even though it may lead us
where we dare not go: Show us your pathway, O Lord, we will follow, follow where you lead.
Give God Thanksgiving
Give God thanksgiving!
(OK, so it's not very
profound. The choir sings this 8 times, with various instruments -- drums, claves, and melodic instrument.)
Come, O God, and Save Us
Come, O God, and save us: Come, and hear our longing; Come, O God, and save us!
(Can also be sung as a Kyrie)
Aaronic Blessing
May God bless you. May God keep you. May God be gracious, and look kindly on you. And may the Lord's face shine upon you, and give you peace; give
you peace.
(This is from Church Hymnary 4, #785. I merely arranged it for a Choir to sing it.
Other than that, it's not at all "mine.")
Trisagion
Holy God, Holy and mighty, Holy, Immortal One, have mercy on us!
(Again, not my text.
I just arranged a version of it.)
Rejoice, Heavenly Powers!
(sung by all:) Rejoice, heavenly powers! Sing, choirs of angels! Jesus Christ our King is risen!
Spoken between responses:
Rejoice, heavenly powers! Sing, choirs of angels! Exult, all creation around
God's throne! Jesus Christ our King has risen! Sound the trumpet of salvation!
Rejoice, O earth
in shining splendor, Radiant in the brightness of your King! Christ has conquered! Glory fills you! Darkness
vanishes forever!
Rejoice, O mother church! Exult in glory! The risen Savior shines upon you! Let
this place resound with joy, echoing the mighty song of all God's people!
(Yet again, not my text, but
my arrangement of it)
