Pascack Reformed Church is
A God-directed
fellowship, in which we take stewardship of all God’s gifts seriously, from the
personal gifts God gives us to do God's work, to our rich history, to the properties with which we are
entrusted, to the spiritual and financial gifts God has given each of us to share.
A
Christ-centered church, where each member is called to consider what it means to ‘renounce
yourself, take up your cross, and follow Christ.’
A Spirit-led
congregation that waits on and listens for the Holy Spirit to guide us into new paths of service and to fill
our hearts with a deeper understanding of God's word for God's world today.
A Word-oriented
gathering that pays heed to what the living Word of God is saying through the Scriptures as Christ walks alongside
us and, by the power of the Spirit, interprets God’s will to us.
A pastoral-sized
church, which conducts various programs of interest for the benefit of its church members and the local community, with the intent of growing large enough so that we can do what God calls us to do, but no so large that we grow
distant and alienated from other members of the congregation. We like to know one another’s names!
A non-judgmental assembly of fellow pilgrims who have a long way to go before we reach
the goal that God has set of us. As a matter of policy and of practical living, we do not reject people because they may have
committed what others consider to be a sin.
We confess
that we are all far from perfect; therefore we rejoice in the forgiveness God offers us through Jesus Christ, and
we attempt to live our lives in a way that gives a positive witness to God’s grace.
