God Calls Us Into God's Gracious Presence Prelude
“Jesus Lover of My Soul”
E.L. Diemer
Greeting
Introit Glory to
God in the highest. To God be glory forever. Alleluia, Amen!
Call to
Worship
The Lord be with you. And also with you. Our help is in the name of the Lord Who made the heavens and the earth. Give ear, O my people, to my teaching; incline your ears to the words of my mouth! I will open my mouth
in a parable; I will utter
dark sayings from of old, things that we have heard and known, things our parents have told us. We will not hide them from our children; we will tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and
God’s might, and the wonders God has done. Let us worship God.
***Hymn 80 “O God of Earth and Altar”
Chesterton
Prayer of Confession
O Lord our God, early in the morning, at noon, in
the quiet of the evening, under the star-flung skies, in the multi-colored company of your Church on earth
and in heaven we celebrate your creation, your life, your death and resurrection, your interest in us. So to you we pray, Lord, bring new life where we have turned
hard-hearted, forgiveness where we feel hurt and where we have wounded, and the joy and freedom of your Holy Spirit where we are the prisoners of ourselves.
Words of Assurance
***Gloria Patri Glory be to
the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost,
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be,
World without end, Amen! Amen!
***Call to Freedom
***Passing of the Peace
The peace of Christ be with you. And also with you.

***Our Song of Hope . . . God is the world’s true
Hope.
The Holy Spirit sends the church to call sinners to repentance, to proclaim the good news that Jesus is personal Savior and
Lord. The Spirit sends us out in ministry to preach good news to the poor, righteousness to the nations, and peace among all people.
God is the world’s true hope!
